"Are you smarter than Corey Farris?" Learn more about Student Life and test your knowledge. Staff members from departments within the Division of Student Life will be "tabling" so you can learn more and increase your awareness of Student Life programs and more.

Mental Health 101:
Current national and WVU-specific mental health trends and characteristics; effective listening skills; in-depth look at Carruth and CARE Team services; practice how to to safely intervene with students in distress. Presented by Carruth Center staff

Naloxone Training/Substance Safety
Learn to recognize signs of an opioid overdose; instruction and practice on using Naloxone; and info on how trainings and kits fit into WVU's overall substance safety efforts. Presented by Wes Thomas, WellWVU

Learn how to engage and retain student employees; from the hiring to onboarding to demonstrating the benefits of student employment (networking, resume-worthy experience and more); encourage students to meet with Career Services. Presented by WVU's Career Services.

Group Exercise on Outdoor Fitness Court: 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Self-paced workouts via an app or instructor led group fitness class. Facilitated by Brittany Brandt, Campus Roc's Fitness and Wellbeing Coordinator    
  • Location: Outdoor Fitness Court
Service Project and Tour at the new WVU Mountain Bike Trails: 2:30 - 5 p.m.
Join Adventure WV and Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative for a short service project at the new MTB trails near Mon General. Or, bring your bike and explore the trail system after project is complete. Facilitated by Nathan Harlan and Andrew Walker
  • Location: MTB trails near Mon General Hospital; meet at 2:15 at the Rec Center equipment rental, inside the Rec Center for directions and where to meet at MTB location
Teambuilding at WVU Challenge Course: 2:45 - 5 p.m.
Walking tour of the facility, including conference center, yurts and team building structures. Plus, get a taste of programming on a low ropes course structure. Facilitated by Chad Baker
  • Location: WVU Challenge Course; meet in the parking lot at 1397 Chestnut Ridge Road, Bruceton Mills
Pause, Rest and Restore: Shinrin-yoku and Ecotherapy: 2:45 - 3:45 p.m.
Invest in yourself! Experience Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) and other eco therapy techniques that will leave you feeling refreshed and grounded. This facilitated experience will take place in WVU's Core Arboretum and involves light physical activity. You may walk or drive to the Arboretum; please wear closed-toe shoes. Facilitated by Marcedes Minana.
