Herman and Kathryn Moses Scholarship Award

 

Nominations are now open for the 2023-24 Herman & Kathryn Moses Scholarship Awards

The annual scholarship was established by the family of the late Dr. Carl R. Adkins, Susan Adkins and Jonathan Adkins, in honor of long-time student life administrator Herman Moses. Mr. Moses devoted 36 years of his professional career to working with WVU students and their families before retiring in 2003.

The fund provides $1,000 scholarships each year to students, undergraduate or graduate, employed by the Division of Student Life.


A STUDENT MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP:
  • Be a current employee in a Division of Student Life department
  • Have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0
  • Demonstrate financial eligibility need
  • The committee will seek a reference from eligible student staff members' supervisors
  • Be in good standing with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and their supervisor
  • Submit a completed Application Form.  Failure to complete all fields will be considered an incomplete application

The deadline to submit the application and the nomination is Friday, February 23, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. All applications must be submitted electronically via the Qualtrics form. Recipients will be recognized and awarded the $1,000 scholarship in the spring semester.
